Georgia Job Market and Educational Opportunities

To grow its economy, Georgia is focusing on developing three of its major industries--tourism and hospitality, global commerce through the Ports of Savannah and Brunswick, and the film and entertainment industry. The state also encourages partnerships between the state government and business and research universities to take advantage of emerging markets in information technologies. Georgia's economy suffered during the recession, but Moody Analytics economists cite Georgia's primary economic strengths as population growth, particularly of workers who are young and well-educated, reasonable cost of living, and low cost of doing business.
