Students who want to extend their flair for culinary arts can choose from a wide range of hospitality and culinary degrees in Georgia. Online and campus-based courses are available and vary depending on whether the student wishes to work in a restaurant, hotel, cruise ship, school or hospital or become an independent caterer. Formal training at a school of culinary arts usually entails a 2- or 4-year course ending with an associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality. Graduating chefs can also take part in apprenticeships at hotels or restaurants to increase their experience. Apprenticeships may lead to permanent employment.
