Online Science Degrees and Careers

Science represents a huge field of study. If your high school interests have been on the science and math side then you may wish to pursue a college education in science with a view to gaining a science job.

You will probably major in one of the main scientific fields. Chemistry, physics, and biology are among the principal scientific disciplines and there are many others, such as geology, zoology or forensic anthropology.

A bachelor's degree will give you a sound grounding in the science of your choice, and may be sufficient for entry-level science jobs in industry or laboratory work. If you want to go on to do scientific research in subjects such as marine biology or forensic anthropology (to name but two of many) then you may need to undertake a master's degree and probably follow it with a doctorate. This will enable you to develop high-level research skills and demonstrate your ability to make an original contribution to scientific learning.
